Ugh, it's Christmas Eve and I'm having to work a half day. Let's keep up the chatter!

There is NOOOOOOOOO day 12. Not today, at least.
Interesting math problem: You're considering doing something that takes 12 days, and you want it to end on Christmas Eve, so what day do you start it? If you subtracted 12 days from December 24th, and came up with December 12th as your start date, you fucked up exactly the same way I apparently did. Here, look what happens:
Day 1 - Dec. 12
Day 2 - Dec. 13
Day 3 - Dec. 14
Day 4 - Dec. 15
Day 5 - Dec. 16
Day 6 - Dec. 17
Day 7 - Dec. 18
Day 8 - Dec. 19
Day 9 - Dec. 20
Day 10 - Dec. 21
Day 11 - Dec. 22
Day 12 - Dec. 23
I just typed all that shit and I still don't know what went wrong, but anyway, I'm putting off the last day, Day 12 of the song, until tomorrow. I know the internet is a cold, lonely place without these posts to look forward to, but I want it to end on Christmas Eve, damnit.
By way of compensation, here's a frame I captured of the group.

Ultimately I decided not to use it for anything official, for several reasons. It has no Johnny. It has too much Lisa. Lisa's mom is having to contort to be visible around Lisa's big stupid head. Who the hell is the shrieking woman in the middle, between Who-Is-That-Guy and the girlfriend of Michelle's boyfriend Mike? (Okay, I'm just going to call her Michelle from now on, because all that other shit takes too long to type.) Michelle's mouth also kind of frightens me (look at it!), as does doucheface Mike's hand, which was moving in this frame and therefore looks fucked up. Also, Mike's face is in it, and his face makes babies cry. And even though Mark's head on the left is small, I find it to be more Mark than I care for. And don't get me started on Denny.
Here's a spare Lisa, too:

She's like a Renaissance painting, no?
Anyway, tune in tomorrow for the final installment of The Twelve Days of The Room, dunwurryboutit.

Whenever I watch 2001: A Space Odyssey, I always get confused when Dr. Floyd goes through the voiceprint recognition security checkpoint thing, because it asks him to give his,"Full name; surname first, Christian name, and initial." If someone had asked me that, I would have blinked for a few long seconds and run away. Here's the explanation. I looked it up.
Surname is your family name; your last name.
Christian name is your given name; your first name. Also called your baptismal name.
...oh, also found this recently:

Every year for the past few years I've ordered a fruitcake for Christmas. What I order is not just any fruitcake, it's the Mt. Everest of fruitcakes, the Collin Street Bakery Deluxe Fruitcake. Here's a picture:
I don't feel like the pic does it justice...it should show the fruitcake looking 500 feet tall, stomping its way through Tokyo and knocking buildings over. They weigh 4 and 3/4 pounds and cost about $55. When the fruitcake arrived yesterday, I was so excited I woke Tom up from a nap and ate some right away. The Christmas Miracle? Today a second one arrived! I don't seem to have paid for it. I'm damn sure going to eat it, though. Anyone want to come over and eat some Fruitcake de los Dios? Good things happen when you're pure of heart! ;o)
